Our kennels today are founded on lines going back to our late
and beloved V Jalk vom Kammeltal SchH 3, IPO 3, FH A Normal,
OFA Good, Elbows Normal son of the Producer of Producers of
working and conformation: VA Lasso Di Val Sol SchH 3 and the
1996 Sieger VA 1 Nick vom Laacher-Haus SchH 3, Kkl OFA Hips
Good, Elbows Normal and the Italian VA Anusch von San Marco
SchH 3, Kkl 1,  A Normal, OFA Hips Good.

We believe in only breeding orthopedically sound dogs to
orthopedically sound dogs as evidenced by  SV "A" Stamp
and/or OFA.  Elbow certification is just as important as hip
certification and is now (2008)  required to obtain Breed Survey
Kkl 1 or 2.  Elbow Certification is now required to obtain a V
rating in conformation.  This will greatly help the breed.

Introducing into our lines is young Freya Vom Tal Der Schatten.
Thank you Jerry Stewart & Jerry Stewart II for enabling us to own
such an extraordinary young lady with truly great potential.
Thank you Jennifer Aguilar for breeding such
a great puppy!
Freya's sire is V  E.T. Von Sendling SchH 3 Kk1 a normal hips &
elbows and her dam is Prissy Vom Tal Der Schatten SchH 3
Kk1 a normal.  Freya is "A" Normal Hips and "A" Normal Elbows.
She is gorgeous with a fine temperament and lots of drive.  She
will be a lady to be reckoned with in 2009. You can find out more

Having the privilege of  judging, competing, training and
breeding with experience marked by decades, we have known
the finest German Shepherd Dogs the world has to offer. We
can truthfully and objectively state that Jalk was the ultimate.
Structurally gorgeous with sound, strong movement, Jalk's
impeccable temperament toped even his great beauty. He was
loving with children, even the most fragile. He was a wonderful
companion house dog, yet he was a ball of fire on the
Schutzhund field. Jalk was the hardest gripping dog in
Schutzhund protection we had ever known. First and foremost,
Jalk was our friend.

Tragedy struck our home when Jalk was imported and we were
not able to campaign him, but Jalk still made his mark in the
history of the German Shepherd Dog in the USA producing
structure, working temperament and orthopedic soundness in
hips and elbows. Jalk's sire, VA Lasso Di Val Sol SchH 3, was
known as the "Producer of Producers."
Lasso produced more
progeny who qualified for the Sieger Show
(the highest
pinnacle for conformation - show)
and Bundessieger ( (the
highest pinnacle for Schutzhund - working)
than any other
sire in history.
Lasso produced strong, sound, hard working
dogs with great beauty to boot!

When we returned to our beloved sport after many years, a
miracle occurred! We were given the gift of two puppies, Mercy
and Axel, whose Great, Great Grand Dad is Jalk. Anneshia
Keller, of Texas Law Dogs, and a friend of many years gave us
these two extraordinary pups, pulling us back into the sport after
the most horrendous tragedy and trial of our lives occurred. A
combination of ongoing tragedy and Victoria's health problems
prevented us from initially training our new pups,  Axel and Mercy
of Ironwood.  But they are on fire and on their way in 2008
showing tremendous promise.

Texas Star Tess, the OFA excellent Dam of Mercy and Axel, bred
by Diane Henry,  belonged to top quarter horse competitor,
Diana Rothwell Bullard. Tess, with great loyalty followed beside
Diana's quarter horses keeping pace all day. Tess even barrel
raced along side Diane and her horses!  Tess' demonstrated
strength, stamina and loyalty can only speak of  her superb
pedigree leading back to Jalk and Anusch.

V Haskan vom Farbenspiel SchH 2 , who Diane Henry states
was her favorite son of the 1996 Sieger  VA 1 Nick vom
Laacher-Haus SchH 3, Kkl 1, was  the sire of Axel and Mercy.
Haskan and Nick are buried side by side on Diane's ranch.

This extraordinary breeding was planned for a repeat
performance, even though both sire and dam were advanced in
years. Before the repeat breeding could occur Haskan died of
old age and Errlichiosis (a horrible tick born disease) took the
life of Tess.
Mercy and Axel's lines are precious and
irreplaceable now.

Axel and Mercy of  Ironwood are both titled in AKC Working Dog
Sport (Schutzhund) and are strong and sound in protection.
Mercy is extraordinarily intense in her protection for a female.
Mercy is  Ms. Drive. She should be with her pedigree. Her grand
mom V (BSZS) Soffi vom Farbenspiel SchH 3, FH, Kk 1, A
Normal
was 40 times plus  x SchH 3.  Mercy will be bred in the
early 2009 to
Ivan Zet Eurosportu  We are receiving deposits
from qualified working sport, canine police,  narcotics, SAR and
companion pet homes.  This will be Mr. Drive married to Mrs.
Drive!  However, with all of the drive for work, both are excellent
in home loving dogs and family protectors.

Axel and Mercy have the temperament we loved so much in
their great, great  grand dad Jalk.  Mercy and Axel love children
and are wonderful house dogs and companions, yet both are a
fiery ball of drive on the Schutzhund field. Look for them this year
in late 2008 Schutzhund competition. Look for Freya in 2009

Orthopedically sound Axel of Ironwood, OFA Hips Good, Elbows
normal, is available for stud to approved females with proof of
hip certification and good temperament. Axel is the sweetest boy
with a temperament so willing to please. Joe is training Axel
inducively with little or no correction! Axel is a happy, animated
working dog.
Axel was First Place WDS 1 and High Scoring
Dog in Tracking at the 2008 National Cup AKC-WDS
Championship.  (WDS which stands for Working Dog Sport is
the new exciting title offered by the AKC which is identical to
Schutzhund:

Like his great, great Grand Dad, Jalk, Axel is a wonderful
companion and friend in the home, yet full of drive on the
Schutzhund field.  Axel, is what you rarely find
, a balanced total
German Shepherd Dog
: Structural Soundness,  Handsome,
Brains, Loving and desiring to please, Courageous.  What a boy!

Andrew and Gracie are
celebrating their
birthdays on March 28,
2008!  Happy Birthday!
"As you know Andrew & Gracie share
the same birthday.....March 28th.
Andrew turned 16 and Gracie 4.
Andrew's choice of cake was a Carrot
Cake.  Gracie had a wet/dry dog food
shaped cake and as you can see with
4 candles.  Andrew had to hold her
back until we finished singing Happy
Birthday to her. After Andrew helped
her blow out her candles I rushed to
get the candles out before she
gobbled up her special treat.  I think
Gracie wishes she had a birthday
everyday."  Anne
