Schutzhund Club
| We welcome you to visit the Good Shepherd Schutzhund Club. Your dog must be social and safe. A prerequisite for training a dog in the Schutzhund sport is that it must be a dog of sound temperament around people and other dogs. Schutzhund and AKC WDS Working Dog Sport are a criteria for breeding demonstrating the dog's sociability, mental stability, intelligence, trainability, endurance, willingness to work, and drive to work and overcome obstacles. Schutzhund/AKC Working Dog Sport encompasses three phases: Tracking, Obedience and Schutzhund Sport Protection. Schutzhund and AKC WDS Working Dog Sport help preserve and improve the breed. Without the qualities proven in the Schutzhund or AKC WDS titles the breed deteriorates. It is also a fun sport. We are located North East of Houston and we serve Houston, Texas, and surrounding rural areas. Judge Joe Tackett is our President and Training Director. No alcohol and/or drugs are allowed at our club and/or events. |
